Sneak peak: Photo shoot
This past weekend I did something I never thought I would do – a photo shoot.
I decided to celebrate the work I have put in the past two years while at the same time enjoying a little less rigorous competition prep schedule.
I’m still a little amazed by it all and I haven’t even seen any of the photos yet. I wasn’t even sure what I was going to wear because 1.) the only things that basically fit in my closet are workout clothes and 2.) My core is not as tight or lean as it was when I stepped on stage last.
I did it anyway. I bought a Fabletics outfit and went to Forever 21 for the rest. We went for three different looks, which were mostly casual than sporty.
Here are a couple of images I took with my phone.
This is one of my favorite shots that I took with my phone. Thank goodness for photo timer apps. I actually laughed with the photographer telling her how I capture my own photos for Instagram and my blog. Heck, they work.
I wasn’t sure about this fish net body suit but I did it. Some pics we took with the necklace and some without. I love how chunky it is.
I’ll share the pics from the photographer when I get them. I should have them later this week. One thing I am most proud of is that these photos will highlight the work I have put in regarding my body, but it’s also a celebration of my continuous evolution of me. It’s an evolution of me mentally, physically and emotionally. I’m not where I want to be yet. However, I am working on it.
Here’s to balance and enjoying the skin I’m in.
What are you doing to step out of your comfort zone?
