Are you looking for a way to satisfy your sweet tooth without destroying your waistline? This low-carb mug cake recipe is the perfect sweet treat and it takes less than one minute to make.
This light and airy chocolate mug cake is an easy dessert that satisfies all urgent cake cravings. It’s ready in less than one minute from start to finish. I love it as a quick everyday dessert.
What is a mug cake?
Mug cakes basically describe any type of cake that can be made quickly in the microwave (usually in a few minutes or less). The “mug” in mug cake refers to the coffee mug that these tasty cakes are usually cooked in.
Best container for mug cakes
Is the mug the only way to go? You can use a mug, ramekin or dessert bowl.
Look for a container where you only fill it to less than half. This will help keep it from overflowing as it rises.
There should be a few fingers of free space between the batter and the rim of the container.
Ingredients you’ll need
To get started making this recipe, you’ll first want to gather all your ingredients first.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1: Combine angel food cake mix and chocolate cake mix into one large container.
Step 2: Place tablespoons of the cake mix into a mug or ramekin.
Step 3: Add water and mix.
Step 4: As a bonus, drop a Lindor chocolate into the mix.
Step 5: Pop into the microwave for 45 seconds.
Step 6: Top the fluffy cake with your favorite whip. Cool whip or Reddi whip are two of my favorites.
Can you believe just how easy that was? It’s simple, satisfying and will help your sweet tooth if you are looking for an alternative to a calorie-filled dessert.
