Focus on your glutes: 40 minutes on the stairs
Work up a sweat with this 40 minute StairMaster workout! Your legs will be burning and your heart will be pumping.
The stair mill or StairMaster is one of my go tos to knock out my cardio even though I have a love/hate relationship with it. A StairMaster workout can be moderate or intense.
The stairs are hard, but it’s one of my favorite machines because you can get your heart rate up and burn the fat. There are a number of benefits including you’ll work your glutes without having to stay on the machine forever.
I usually only do 20-30 minutes but my coach has me on a 40 minute rotation right now.
There are so many different combinations in achieving whatever time you have set for cardio. You have to find what works for you. Here is one that has worked for me.

One of my goals for this season includes improving my overall conditioning. Incorporating the stairs is one way to do that.
I will admit that there are some days that I break up the workout with 20 minutes on the stairs and another on a cross trainer. It’s not that the cross trainer is any easier. It’s just a mental break that makes it seem easier.
