Word of the year: Determined
In 2018, I made a breakthrough about midway through the year. It took me a while to find the balance and peace within myself that I needed. Once I got there, I found clarity in many different areas of my life. Am I perfect? No, but I am still on the path that allows me to see myself and others in a different way.
The goal is to build on that breakthrough to make 2019 even better. I am determined for so many reasons.
A look at how I will apply my word of the year in 2019.
Determined financially
This year I am determined to be intentional about how I spend and save money. I tried the 52 week challenge in 2018. Well, I started it but I kept dipping into my account. In 2019, I have decided to put a set amount of money into my savings account biweekly. I also have taken on a small part time opportunity where I will take a set amount of money from that to add to my savings account. The rest will go to paying off bills or paying ahead on others. This will put about $1,200 in my savings account.

These are big but not lofty.
Determined to be 100% committed to competition prep
I am committed each prep but I usually have a treat here and there or I don’t drink all the water that I am suppose to drink. I will be the gallon of water or more a day drinker and all those little treats will be gone.
Once I found the breakthrough in 2018, it hit me that I should have been there all along. In 2019, I plan on leaving no stone unturned. When we pull the lever I am all in with the goal of finishing at the top more confident than when I ended the 2018 season in Atlanta.

Determined I can be more confident
My goal is to pick up where I left off and exceed it.
It first takes my mind being in the right place and surrounding myself with those that are also on a path to success. It doesn’t have to be in the world of bodybuilding. However, it does have to be trying to improve themselves in whatever area that might be for that person.
Do you surround yourself with like minded people or those that will push you to reach your goals? That is what I am after in 2019. I keep my circle small and might have to reevaluate it in 2019, but I am determined to bring my best self forward in life and on the stage.
