Sweet tooth cravings takeover
I have a sweet tooth.
There is no denying it. I talk about my sweet tooth cravings often especially as we get closer to show day. Cupcakes are a high priority for me. I don’t need a whole cake. I don’t have time for that. But a few bites of my favorite flavors with great icing. Who can beat that?
I try my best during prep to cut sweets out but they do manage a way to my tongue here and there. I have to be honest because I am human. I strive to do better each time not just for my body but because I want to be able to cherish it when prep is all said and done.
Cupcakes: Sweet bites of heaven
Cupcakes are a high priority. I take two cupcakes to each competition from Cupcake DownSouth. It’s been a red velvet and something else. This past show it was red velvet and white chocolate raspberry.
Earlier this year it was red velvet and carrot.
You see, cupcakes are a smaller version of cakes that allow you to get a taste without having to overindulge. Heck and to be honest, it allows me to have more than one flavor.
Slutty brownies in a cupcake
Yes, you read that right. Remember, I am the cupcake girl.
So, my friend and fellow competitor Annie made them for me. I asked for these to be my post-show treat. I devoured all eight of them in five days. Ssshhh, don’t tell my coach. The last two days they were topped with ice cream. Oh holy heavens were they good.
My sweet tooth was taken to a new level of insanity.
Annie made some last year for after the show but in the shape of bars. Back then they were good even though my mouth was drier than dry. I remembered and they did not disappoint.
Hershey’s Gold chocolate bar
I don’t know how I came to learn about these delicious things, but I did. The crazy thing is that I can eat a Hershey’s Gold bar in my car before I leave the parking lot while driving a stick shift.
No, seriously.
When I have a sweet tooth cravings this kills it for a while. I don’t need a lot. Just something to knock the edge off.
I am not a fan of chocolate bars, but these are on a different level. It’s more peanut butter and pretzel and caramel than traditional chocolate. I only buy one at a time cause if not, I would be in some serious trouble. Before I learned about these chocolate bars, my favorite chocolate was Reese peanut butter cups and Almond M&Ms. But no worry, these gold bars are now at the top of the list.
Do you have a sweet tooth too?
