Pick your flavor: Stacks of pancakes every where

Pancakes are one of my favorite things. Well, most breakfast foods are my favorite.
When I have a choice, I prefer pancakes or French toast. We all know there are a lot of pancake brands out there from walking down our own grocery aisle. In the past few years, I have come to learn of others from bodybuilding athletes that I had no idea existed. But for me, my affinity is for Kodiak cakes pancake mix.
I can eat these year round. Yes, I said it. Pancakes year round on and off competition prep.
Pick your Kodiak cakes pancake flavor

Kodiak cakes come in a variety of flavors: buttermilk, buttermilk and honey, almond and poppy seed, dark chocolate, cinnamon and oat, crunchy peanut butter and more. I actually saw a pumpkin flavor in the fall at Target.
Mix it up
A regular serving is one cup pancake mix and one cup of water. Super simple and can be used in many different ways.
I rarely do more than a half cup because of my meal plan when I am on prep. But I could eat a cup without thinking about it. Add some bananas in the mix and some strawberries on top. Heck, just give me some Non-dairy almond milk Reddi whip without the rest and my day is started off right.
An added bonus are the macros for a serving.
Calories: 190, Protein: 14g, Carbs: 30g, Fat: 2g and Fiber: 5g.
You can add more protein by adding Greek yogurt or egg whites.
If you take a look at the box of most other pancake mixes you will find something different. Here’s what I found from Hungry Jack pancake mix, which you also just add water to the mix.

There is a difference between in the macros but not in the taste. I actually prefer Kodiak cakes over “regular” pancake mixes. I even enjoy the frozen waffles over Eggo waffles.
