2018 NPC Victory Classic peak week

Hello peak week. Peak week means it’s almost time to step on stage again. This time it’s the 2018 NPC Victory Classic.

I’m looking forward to outshining this version of me from last year at the 2017 Stewart Fitness Championships. I’m super excited and calm at the same time that it seems unreal.

So much has happened this year that I didn’t think it would be possible, but here we are at 5 days out. I’m getting excited even though my mind and heart are at peace.

NPC Victory Classic peak week shenanigans

It’s pretty calm right now and most likely will stay that way. Or so I hope.

First, changes came with the water. I have shared before how I feel about drinking a gallon a day. Well, hello pee week. I say that because my water has been upped to two gallons a day.

You read that correctly. Two freakin’ gallons a day. My eyes start rolling in my head at one gallon let alone two. On Day 1, I was able to accomplish the goal. This is Day 2 and 11 a.m., I am at 83 ounces. The goal is to have the first gallon down no later than 1 p.m. I hope to be done with the second gallon by 8 p.m. because finishing later than that keeps me in the bathroom all night long.

Your presentation on stage is of the utmost importance. You can have a slammin’ body and not do well because of your presentation.

peak week posing practice to make tweaks

I’ve spent many days in my shoes working on my walk and my presentation. I want it to seem somewhat natural and fluid. Because if I am being honest, there is nothing natural or normal about walking out on stage in a small bikini and five inch heels to be judged on your body. It freaks me out on show day.

Practicing and working with my posing coach has been helping me feel more confident in preparation for show day. I’ve read practice till it’s permanent. That’s what I am hoping for so that if I space out when I step on stage, my body will take over out of muscle memory.

My body continues to change this week so I’m trying out different poses. I hope to have it all solidified by Wednesday when I meet with my posing coach.

I haven’t been this excited during peak week up until now. I am calm inside but looking forward to showing off all of my hard work.
