It’s a new week and I am focused to kick my own butt in the tail. I went straight to the gym after getting my little man off to school because it’s no excuse time. Tick tock. Tick tock.
I was down and out with a bug I could not shake last week. It required me to sleep and rest. Did I get my cardio in? Umm. No. Lift, yes. Nothing else exercise wise.
Back on track
I am back on track with cardio. There was no way last week I could have done it and survived.
Let’s mix of this week’s cardio and push a little harder than previously. It’s time to leave no prisoners behind.
This morning’s cardio was on the stepmill.
The stepmill is not my favorite piece of equipment but it does the job. My chest was on fire and my heart was beating like a drum.
I need to see what I can do this week to determine if I will be running a 5K on Saturday that I registered for before Christmas. A personal best is not needed but I also do not want to walk. I guess we will see how the body responds this week and I will make the decision by Friday.
The goal will be to keep the intensity high with cardio. Jump rope and treadmill combo will be on deck tomorrow followed by the treadmill on Wednesday and the spin bike on Thursday. I most likely will take Friday off from cardio in preparation for Saturday.
Pushing the water
It is below freezing around here. Cold water is not my forte and even worse when it is butt cold. Help me.
I am pushing tea through my veins to keep warm and get my gallon in. Is there any other way? Infused water? Alkaline water? I’m going to stick with the tea for now.
What is your favorite cardio exercise? What is your least favorite way to get cardio in?
